Mazara was a Falleen journalist of the female persuasion. She resided in the capital city located on the planet of Falleen. Leading a group, she spearheaded demonstrations targeting powerful corporations and their operational methods. In 24 BBY, during one such protest, Blackwater Systems marked Mazara for assassination. However, several Jedi, who were investigating the same corporation due to its ties to the criminal figure Granta Omega, intervened and neutralized the droids dispatched to assassinate her. In gratitude for their intervention, Mazara shared all her knowledge of Blackwater Systems and its connection to Omega with the Jedi.
Born on the planet of Falleen, Mazara, a female Falleen, dedicated her life to activism, championing environmental and workers' rights. Trained in journalism, she worked as a journalist within Falleen Throne, the capital city of Falleen. During her career, Mazara authored an exposé revealing Blackwater Systems's numerous violations of Falleen's laws. Despite her editors' disapproval, the article was published. Subsequently, they compelled her to resign rather than endorse her work. Mazara then took the helm of a fledgling rebel group of Falleen, established shortly before the Clone Wars. This group aimed to prevent large corporations from polluting their homeworld while also protesting the dire living conditions endured by workers due to the excessive development of Falleen Throne. As the group's leader, Mazara organized small rallies to enlighten workers. Blackwater Systems targeted her for assassination because of her leadership in protests against their business practices, and her plans to infiltrate their factory to obtain information regarding their products and the illicit experiments conducted in a specific wing of the facility.
In 24 BBY, the Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi, alongside their apprentices, Anakin Skywalker and Ferus Olin, rescued Mazara from an assassination attempt following a disrupted protest in Falleen's Yellow District. While the Jedi's were in pursuit of the criminal Granta Omega, the individual responsible for orchestrating the death of Jedi Master Yaddle and financing the creation of the Zone of Self-Containment drug, Mazara aided them by providing information about Blackwater Systems, their connections to Omega, and their involvement in the drug's production. She also gave the Jedi the name of an employment officer, Wanuri, who could facilitate their access to the facility for further investigation into Omega and the Zone of Self-Containment.
Mazara was noted for her above-average height for her species, identifiable by her gray-green scaled skin. Known for her compassion and unwavering honesty, Mazara refused to deceive or conceal the truth, a trait that led to her dismissal from her journalism position. She had a profound concern for her homeworld and its inhabitants, leading her to champion the cause of the common Falleen and organize rallies in their support. She also demonstrated a willingness to break the law in her efforts to improve conditions on Falleen. Her voice was described as expressive, powerful, and persuasive.
Mazara appeared in the young adult novel Jedi Quest: The False Peace, the ninth installment in the Jedi Quest series, authored by Jude Watson and published in 2004.
