The MC95C Star Cruiser represented a specific class of Mon Calamari Star Cruiser. These vessels saw action during the conflict between the First Order and the Resistance. A significant number of MC95C Star Cruisers were part of the Citizens' Fleet present at Exegol, where they participated in the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY against the Sith Eternal alongside the Resistance.

The MC95C Star Cruiser was a Star Cruiser type designed by the Mon Calamari. A defining feature of the MC95C Star Cruiser was its rounded shell, which covered the rear half of the hull. The front section extended into a slender bow, incorporating a prominent dorsal and ventral fin. The ship included at least a pair of hangar bays situated towards its forward section. It also possessed a hyperdrive system, granting the ability to travel at lightspeed through hyperspace, and was powered by engines.
Like other Mon Calamari designs, the MC95C Star Cruiser featured a rounded hull with varied surface modules, and it had multiple antenna on a dorsal module located towards the rear, as well as forward-facing antenna near an ordnance pod at the bow. The bridge was positioned in the forward command section near the bow, accompanied by a command tower towards the rear. It was armed with several laser cannons. Powerful blasts of Force lightning could disable MC95C Star Cruisers.
Being a capital ship, the MC95C Star Cruiser was capable of engaging in naval warfare.

MC95C Star Cruisers were already in operation during the war between the First Order, a military government succeeding the fallen Galactic Empire, and the Resistance, a paramilitary group linked to the disbanded Rebel Alliance and the defunct New Republic. In 35 ABY, the heroes General Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca embarked on a mission aboard the Millennium Falcon to gather support from the citizens of the galaxy to aid the Resistance. The Resistance had journeyed to the ancient Sith stronghold world of Exegol in an effort to defeat the revived Sith Eternal, who were allied with the First Order, and to save the galaxy from their control.

As the Resistance neared defeat and suffered significant losses, a massive Citizens' Fleet of 14,000 ships from across the galaxy arrived at Exegol and engaged in the Battle of Exegol, which included a large number of MC95C Star Cruisers. With these reinforcements, the combined galactic force and the Resistance launched an assault on the Final Order, a vast fleet of over 1,000 planet-killing Xyston-class Star Destroyers. While the two Jedi Rey and Ben Solo battled the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious on the surface at the Sith Citadel, Darth Sidious drew Force power from the Force dyad between Rey and Solo. He then unleashed a barrage of powerful Force lightning at the galactic fleet, disabling numerous ships.
After Rey regained her strength and faced Sidious again, the lightning dissipated, allowing the fleet to regain its footing. Rey then deflected Sidious' lightning back at him, ultimately destroying him with his own power. The remaining forces of the Sith Eternal on Exegol were destroyed, and an uprising against the First Order began throughout the galaxy.

The MC95C Star Cruiser made its debut in the final movie of the Star Wars saga and the sequel trilogy, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Its identification was first made in an episode of Star Wars By the Numbers on StarWarsKids.com in 2020. The creation of the MC95C Star Cruiser came about when post-production required additional ships for the citizens' fleet. Lucasfilm art designer James Clyne quickly kitbashed the MC80A Home One Type Heavy Star Cruiser Home One over roughly a day to develop the design.
