Methane was the respiration gas of the Moorseerians
A type of gas is methane. Because the planet Merj's atmosphere consisted of methane, the Morseerian species that originated there evolved to breath methane instead of oxygen. Consequently, they needed to use breath masks when present on planets possessing oxygen-based atmospheres. Methane was also breathed by the Skakoans. The planet Bastatha's clouds were composed of methane and sulfur. Methane rain occurred on Vix, a moon orbiting Endor.
