Following the Galactic Empire's offensive against Abednedo, Alphabet Squadron of the New Republic embarked on a quest to the planet to look into claims of lingering Imperial forces still present on Abednedo in the aftermath of Operation: Cinder. Subsequent to their meeting with a Verpine smuggler, the squadron tried to guide the smuggler's 690 light freighter to the New Republic; however, they ultimately lost all but a single Imperial prisoner during an engagement with TIE/sa bombers.
