Abednedo (planet)

The Abednedo people, a sentient species, originated on Abednedo, a planet situated along the Corellian Run within the [Colonies](/article/colonies] region of the galaxy. Their ancestors initially dwelled underground, constructing elaborate tunnel networks that evolved into vast, cathedral-like complexes accommodating numerous family groups. Eventually, the Abednedo transitioned to surface living, erecting expansive metropolises adorned with decorative spires, flagpoles, and vibrantly colored carvings. While these urban centers appeared chaotic to outsiders, the Abednedo found them to be an inexhaustible source of fascination and enjoyment.

Following the Battle of Endor, because of the Abednedo's allegiance to the New Republic, the Galactic Empire inflicted damage upon the planet. This was accomplished using a climate disruption array as part of Operation: Cinder, a plan initiated posthumously by Emperor Sheev Palpatine.

Brasmon Kee served as Abednedo's representative in the New Republic Senate three decades (years) after the Battle of Endor. Ello Asty, another Abednedo, a male pilot who served the New Republic and subsequently the Resistance, also hailed from this planet.

Behind the scenes
