Mission to Dathomir (Galactic Civil War)

As the Galactic Empire found itself in retreat, X2, accompanied by the members of Grey Squadron, embarked on a journey to the world of Dathomir. Their publicly stated objective was to investigate the Imperial prison situated on the planet. However, X2, still adjusting to his newly discovered aptitude for the Force, privately confided in his unit that his true motivation was to locate his genetic sibling, X1. He sensed that X1 was involved in some nefarious activity within the prison's confines.

To infiltrate the prison, Grey Squadron was compelled to navigate the thick jungle surrounding it via speeder bike. They faced an ambush by Imperial troopers also on speeder bikes and were forced to traverse a rancor burial site. Upon reaching the prison's exterior gates, X2 and Shara made a startling observation: a group of lightsaber-wielding Nightsisters were engaged in combat against both Grey Squadron and the stormtroopers stationed within the outpost. Recognizing the tactical advantage presented by this situation, X2 and Shara separated from the rest of Grey Squadron and advanced further into the outpost's grounds. They soon rejoined their comrades at the entrance to the main building, at which point X2 began to perceive a powerful resonance with the dark side emanating from within. Despite Shara's objections, he proceeded into the facility alone.

Deep within the prison's interior, X2 discovered the source of the disturbance: a massive rancor being ridden by the leader of the Nightsister assault. Drawing upon the Force for assistance, X2 repeatedly employed Force push on nearby debris to destabilize the creature, ultimately defeating it with strategic applications of his lightsaber. With the rancor defeated, the Nightsister Matriarch ignited her lightsaber and engaged X2 in a duel, but the Force-sensitive clone prevailed.

With the disturbance suppressed, X2 and a portion of his squad pressed further into the prison's depths. After repelling several more Imperial ambushes, the group finally uncovered X1's clandestine operation: a cloning facility, complete with cloning tanks filled with what appeared to be nascent Wookiee clones. Regrettably for Grey Squadron, X1 was not present within the facility. However, X2 swiftly located his brother's private office in an adjacent room, and with Shara's assistance, the unit successfully acquired a complete copy of his personal files.

Upon returning to their spacecraft, X2 and Shara were met with a somber scene: an Imperial saboteur had managed to plant detpacks within several of their vessels, resulting in the destruction of numerous X-wings and the loss of many members of Grey Squadron. As X2 attempted to comfort one of the dying soldiers, the remaining troops brought the captured Imperial before their distraught commander. Consumed by grief, X2 seized the man with a Force choke and threatened his life, nearly succumbing to his anger and falling to the Dark Side. Before he could act, however, Shara intervened, reminding X2 that he must not emulate his brother's path of vengeance. Humbled by his close encounter with the Dark Side, X2 released the subdued Imperial, ordering his squadron to launch the remaining ships and evacuate the planet.

In the void of space, the survivors encountered an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Unable to escape, X2 commanded the remnants of his squadron to engage the vessel, vowing to never again flee from the Imperials. During the ensuing battle, X2 skillfully piloted his X-wing through numerous waves of TIE fighters, ultimately destroying the capital ship's bridge with a series of precise shots. The resulting cataclysmic explosion caused the complete annihilation of the Destroyer.

By analyzing the information obtained from X1's personal data, X2 was able to ascertain the location of his brother's fortress on the planet Mustafar. Though deeply affected by the events that transpired on Dathomir, he resolved to find the inner strength necessary to conclude his conflict with his brother once and for all.
