Mitth'oor'akiord
Mitth'oor'akiord, known by his core name of Thooraki, was a Chiss male who possessed the title of Patriarch within the esteemed Mitth family. Thooraki dedicated his efforts to the recruitment process for the Mitth, actively identifying and facilitating invitations to be extended to promising individuals with the potential to become valuable family members.
General Ba'kif was personally requested by Patriarch Thooraki, who sought his assistance in directing the Mitth family's recruitment efforts towards Kivu'raw'nuru. This individual would later rise to prominence as Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, known by the core name "Thrawn," within the ranks of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet. Furthermore, he made the individual choice to extend an invitation to Ali'astov, formerly a ozyly-esehembo or skywalker, Ali'astov whose abilities of Third Sight had diminished, to join the Mitth.
When Mitth'ali'astov ("Thalias"), a merit adoptive member of the Mitth family, underwent her family Trials, Patriarch Thooraki was present. He expressed his admiration for her solutions, deeming them exceptionally elegant, and extended his congratulations, welcoming her as a Trial-born member of the Mitth. Thooraki regarded Trial-born Mitth'raw'nuruodo as an individual of exceptional talent, possessing the potential to bring great distinction to the Mitth family and the Chiss Ascendancy as a whole. However, he was mindful of the dissenting opinions that suggested Thrawn might lead them to ruin. Entrusting Thalias with the responsibility of safeguarding and shielding Thrawn from his adversaries, he acknowledged Thrawn's inherent weakness in the realm of politics.
Biography
Protecting His Greatest Achievement
Mitth'oor'akiord, or Thooraki, personally welcomed Kivu'raw'nuru (Vurawn) into the Mitth family, thereby transforming him into Mitth'raw'nuru (Thrawn), fully aware of the potential glory he could bring to the family. Later on, he would also personally accept former sky-walker Al'iastov into the Mitth, thereby making her Mitth'ali'astov (Thalias).
As he approached the end of his life, Thooraki witnessed Thalias undertaking the Mitth family Trials. He came to the decision to speak with her directly, as she was actively hindering those who sought to undermine Thrawn's career. He firmly believed that Thrawn represented his greatest accomplishment and possessed the capacity to bring honor to the Mitth. He confided in Thalias that other members of the Mitth, who were vying for the position of Patriarch upon his passing, were inclined to exchange that potential glory for a "safer" course for the family. Thooraki maintained that taking risks was essential for preserving the Mitth's current standing among the Ruling Families. When Thalias inquired about how she could assist Thrawn, Thooraki instructed her to keep a watchful eye over him and to rally his allies and friends when required. Thooraki affirmed that Thalias had successfully completed her trials, and she pledged to safeguard Thrawn.
Death and Legacy
In 18 BBY, Thooraki's life came to an end due to the effects of advanced age. Following his death, Speaker Mitth'ykl'omi (Thyklo) informed Syndic Prime Thurfian, who now held the position, of the passing and the fact that he had been designated as the next Patriarch.

Thrawn, Thooraki's most significant achievement, was ultimately exiled from the Chiss Ascendancy as a consequence of one of his more recent victories. However, Thrawn continued to serve the Ascendancy, in an attempt to ensure the Galactic Empire would never launch an attack on the Ascendancy and to gain deeper insights into the newly established order. Thrawn ascended to the highest echelons of the Empire, ultimately attaining the rank of Grand Admiral, which served as a guarantee that his people would not be subjected to an attack by the Empire.
Personality and traits
As the Patriarch of the Mitth family, Mitth'oor'akiord demonstrated a strong interest in attracting, recruiting and retaining talented Chiss individuals within the family's ranks. Thooraki personally took the initiative to arrange invitations for Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo and Caregiver Mitth'ali'astov to join the Mitth family, recognizing their potential to both contribute to and benefit from the family's endeavors.
Patriarch Thooraki exhibited a protective stance towards Thrawn, acknowledging the officer's exceptional tactical and strategic prowess while also being cognizant of Thrawn's critical deficiency in political acumen. Thooraki accurately discerned that Thrawn had adversaries not only within the upper tiers of the Ascendancy but also within the Mitth family itself. Thooraki was aware of his advanced age and impending death, and he harbored concerns that members of the Mitth family who opposed Thrawn might seek to succeed him as Patriarch.
Syndic (and subsequently Syndic Prime) Mitth'urf'ianico stood as one such high-ranking official within the Mitth who held anti-Thrawn sentiments. Following Thooraki's demise, Thurfian succeeded the elder as the Patriarch of the Mitth family, thereby validating Thooraki's fears that a Patriarch determined to bring about Thrawn's downfall might indeed take his place.
Behind the scenes
Thooraki made his initial appearance in the novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising penned by Timothy Zahn.
