During the time of the Galactic Civil War, a male being known as Moxxar Krieg resided on the desert planet of Tatooine. Following the Battle of Yavin, Krieg, along with Doctor Edvar Vang, came across a novel form of spice. This particular spice was being smuggled by the Rebel Alliance, but the powerful criminal syndicate Black Sun also desired it. Despite Vang's concerns that the situation had escalated to a dangerous level, Krieg persisted in his investigation into the spice's origin. Subsequently, he was discovered and threatened to cease his inquiries. However, Moxxar Krieg remained steadfast and ultimately met his demise through assassination at his house located in Mos Eisley. In the year 1 ABY, a group of interstellar travelers stumbled upon a sample of the new spice while searching for a missing pilot named Cal Handro. They delivered it to Doctor Vang, who instead urged them to question Krieg. The spacers instead discovered the dead body of Moxxar Krieg in his residence.

Moxxar Krieg made an appearance in the video game Star Wars Galaxies from 2003, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. This game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. Moxxar Krieg's character was integrated into the game as part of the initial segment of the "Secrets of the Syren" storyline. This addition was included in the "Publish 14," which was released on March 9, 2005. The "Secrets of the Syren" narrative was later removed from the game with the "Chapter 1," made public on June 8, 2006, due to the significant changes planned for Rori alongside the introduction of the Battle of Restuss.
