During the Cold War era between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, a male Sullustan named Nae Nuuv served as the Padawan of Jedi Master Jaric Kaedan. When the Galactic War subsequently erupted between the two galactic superpowers, Nuuv completed the Jedi Trials. As a newly appointed Jedi Knight in 3640 BBY, his initial assignment involved assisting the Republic Military amidst the ongoing battle on the planet of Corellia.
Identified as Force-sensitive, Nae Nuuv, a male of the Sullustan race, was brought into the Jedi Order. He underwent training to become a Jedi Padawan under the guidance of Jedi Master Jaric Kaedan during the period known as the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. As the Galactic War unfolded between the Republic and the Empire in 3640 BBY, Nuuv successfully completed the Jedi Trials, earning the rank of Jedi Knight. He was promptly dispatched to the war-torn planet of Corellia to support fellow Jedi and the Republic Military in the midst of the Battle of Corellia. Nuuv was among the few Jedi who remained alive on Corellia when Satele Shan, the Order's Grand Master, deployed Jedi reinforcements to the planet.
Belonging to the diminutive Sullustan species, Nae Nuuv possessed notable features such as large, black eyes and skin with a gray-brown hue. This young Jedi, known for his witty remarks, exhibited a liking for alcohol and was prone to excitement or even anger, particularly after enduring multiple days of intense combat on Corellia, which resulted in combat stress. The numerous Jedi deaths he witnessed on Corellia deeply affected Nuuv, causing him to question the Order's tenet that the light side of the Force held greater power than the dark side.
Nae Nuuv's attire consisted of Jedi robes colored brown and adorned with gray-green markings and patterns.
Nae Nuuv's initial appearance was in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game released in 2011, developed by BioWare and published by LucasArts. Nuuv's presence in the Jedi Knight mission "Jedi Commander" on Corellia is contingent upon the player's failure to redeem the Dark Jedi Bengel Morr during the Prologue. In this scenario, Nuuv takes Morr's place in the Rusty Freighter, a cantina situated in the Blastfield Shipyards district. He continues to appear in Morr's stead in all subsequent cutscenes, although neither Nuuv nor Morr engage in further conversation with the player after their first encounter. Given that the Jedi Knight, as a Republic character, is presumed to consistently choose the moral light-side options, this article operates under the assumption that the player successfully defeated Morr and facilitated his rehabilitation by the Jedi Order, thereby preventing an encounter with Nuuv. While the light-side scenario leaves his ultimate fate unresolved, Nuuv's statements regarding his time on Corellia before the arrival of the Hero of Tython are still regarded as accurate.
