Nashi was a Hutt of the male persuasion, serving Jabba the Hutt, who was a member of the Hutt Clan. Approximately eight years following the commencement of the Clone Wars, Nashi journeyed as an emissary to visit Delian Mors, the Imperial Moff governing the planet Ryloth. The meeting between Nashi and the Moff occurred within her command center situated on Ryloth's largest moon, where they engaged in conversation and laughter in the center's courtyard. Upon the conclusion of their meeting, Colonel Belkor Dray arrived to confer with Mors, questioning Nashi's identity and purpose. Subsequently, Mors arranged for Nashi to be escorted back to his ship accompanied by three cases filled with theenwine. As the envoy departed, he emitted a loud belch in Belkor's direction, remarking to Mors that the Colonel appeared as inflexible as a tree.
Nashi's body, resembling a serpentine slug, stretched three meters in length and was covered by leathery skin, an appearance that reminded Belkor of an overstuffed sausage. His watery eyes and generally listless expression were typical characteristics of his species. Nashi communicated in Huttese with an unexpectedly high-pitched voice, and his belch directed at Belkor produced a visible cloud of foul odor, reminiscent of decaying meat.
Nashi's initial appearance was in Lords of the Sith, a novel authored by Paul S. Kemp and published in 2015.
