New Codia was a place situated within the galaxy. It had the same designation as the Codia system in the Mid Rim Territories.
During 19 BBY, Galactic Republic Senator Padmé Amidala traveled to the planet Batuu, located in the Outer Rim Territories, for a meeting with her previous handmaiden, Duja. Upon her arrival on Batuu and discovering that Duja met her death, Amidala made her way to a cantina inside Black Spire Outpost. To keep her true purpose for visiting Batuu secret from the bartender, Janott, Amidala claimed she was there to deliver a new starship to a person named "Kuseph Jovi". After the Senator expressed her uncertainty as to why "Jovi" would pick a place like Batuu as the exchange point, Janott made a negative comparison between Batuu and New Codia. Amidala concurred, then considered whether New Codia was a star system, a planet, or perhaps a city.
The name New Codia appeared in the 2018 novel titled Thrawn: Alliances, penned by Timothy Zahn.
