Nirama's public asteroid

Nirama's publicly accessible asteroid, exceeding 400 kilometers in diameter, was the largest asteroid located inside the Cularin asteroid belt. Nirama maintained a substantial base on this asteroid, which he had inherited from the Hutt named Riboga. Both Riboga and Nirama leveraged this base for gatherings with their subordinates within the Organization, notably the smugglers belonging to the Smugglers' Confederation. Nirama also inherited a private asteroid from Riboga, which Riboga had previously used for his exclusive purposes.

Despite this base, the smugglers generally preferred not to convene with their leader on his asteroid, due to the ease with which he could impound their vessels there. Instead, they favored meeting locations such as the planet Cularin, or employing proxies to circumvent direct encounters.

A significant portion of the Organization's operations was centered here, with many of its members residing on the asteroid, either full-time or part-time. The asteroid's upper section housed docking bays, Nirama's living quarters and meeting spaces, as well as detention blocks. The asteroid's interior functioned as a self-contained city, featuring independently operated establishments such as the Hutt's Tail cantina, and even defunct businesses like Mokada's Place. The base was segmented into a number of sectors, with Red Sector holding a reputation for being particularly troublesome and notorious.

The Cell, a rival group within the Organization seeking to supplant Nirama, successfully seized control of a portion of his public asteroid. Subsequently, Nirama utilized his public asteroid as his primary command center, while simultaneously attempting to locate Cell members elsewhere for interrogation.

Weapons were prohibited within the asteroid's inner zones, with security maintained by the Organization's security personnel. Nirama's personal security detail possessed superior authority and were permitted to carry weapons, typically stun batons and force pikes. The members of Nirama's security detail were identified by their silver and black uniforms, with rank indicated by red bars displayed on their shoulders.
