The episode commences with an aged Obi-Wan Kenobi, positioned atop a cliff near his dwelling on the desert planet of Tatooine. The narrator elucidates that within a vast galaxy brimming with exploits, Kenobi stands as a celebrated Jedi Master. Subsequently, we discern Kenobi's voice echoing his name, remarking that it is a designation he hasn't encountered in what feels like eons.
Kenobi is then immersed in recollections of combat against B1-Series battle droids aboard the droid control ship Saak'ak amidst the Naboo Crisis. This is immediately followed by Kenobi's heart-wrenching scream expressing the despair he felt as Darth Maul delivers a fatal blow to his Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, during the Battle of Naboo. Following this, Kenobi finds himself locked in a duel with Maul.
While observing the dawn on Tatooine, Kenobi experiences a flashback depicting his confrontation with General Grievous on Utapau. Grievous advances, wielding multiple lightsabers. As the binary suns of Tatooine ascend in the sky above him, Kenobi contemplates his leadership of Clone troopers in battle during the Clone Wars, preceding his duel with his former Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, on Mustafar. Following this, Kenobi opens his eyes.
Later, Kenobi observes R2-D2 replaying a holographic message from Princess Leia Organa, beseeching him for assistance and declaring him as her sole beacon of hope. Returning to the present, Kenobi activates his lightsaber in the morning light.
