The Oovo IV Uprising was a revolt that happened when the inmates imprisoned on the Oovo IV asteroid prison rebelled against the correctional officers and instigated a full-blown riot.
Jango Fett became aware of a bounty placed on Bendix Fust, who was sought alive by Sebolto, a crime lord located on Malastare and connected to the Bando Gora. Consequently, Jango made the decision to travel to Oovo IV to claim the reward.
Fett intended to infiltrate the shield during the arrival of a supply vessel delivering goods to the prison. Piloting his old ship, the Jaster's Legacy, Jango positioned himself near an entry point. After battling his way through numerous members of the Helmet Squad, he encountered Wim "Smootie" Smoot who possessed information on Bendix Fust's location in Cell Block Level 1. Smootie had also learned of the story regarding the Bando Gora and Komari Vosa's induction into the cult, which he then shared with Jango. Upon locating Bendix Fust, Jango discovered that a female bounty hunter named Zam Wesell had already apprehended him, and she initiated a riot to facilitate her escape.
Despite the escalating chaos, Jango successfully fought his way through a multitude of guards and prisoners. Although he was attacked by both inmates and correctional officers—including Meeko Ghintee, who had a death warrant—Jango Fett managed to reach the Jaster's Legacy and, with Zam's assistance, repelled the guards. However, a Firespray-31-class prototype patrol ship irreparably damaged his ship. Jango then resolved to seize one of these ships, but first needed to disable the prison's protective shield.
Jango inquired of "Smootie" about the procedure for deactivating the shield. He was informed that he could induce a meltdown by overloading the three reactors that powered the shield, achieved by destroying the cooling circuits. Fett successfully battled his way through the guards and overloaded all three reactors, causing the shield to malfunction and shut down. Upon reaching the hangar bay, he faced a VA RPV. Despite its arsenal and the surrounding guards, Jango managed to disable the vehicle and secure the area. After commandeering one of the Firespray-31-class prototypes, he obliterated the hangar containing the remaining ships.
