Pabu fish were a species of fish that lived in the ocean on the planet called Pabu. Its color was primarily purple, featuring orange markings on its back and a lighter shade of purple on its underside. It had distinguishing features such as a single horn extending from its forehead, dark eyes, and visible teeth sticking out of its mouth. It possessed a caudal fin with a forked lower section, two sets of smaller ventral fins, and a sizable pectoral fin, but lacked a dorsal fin. The Pabu fish was quite large; some specimens were as big as an adult human. Humans could eat Pabu fish.
Wrecker, a member of Clone Force 99, used a fishing rod to reel in a Pabu fish near 18 BBY. He was fishing from a newly constructed fishing pier in Lower Pabu. Wrecker then eagerly informed Mayor Shep Hazard and his fellow clone Hunter that he had captured their meal.
The Pabu fish made its debut in "Tipping Point," the fourteenth episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch's second season, an animated TV show. The episode aired on March 22, 2023. While not identified in the episode itself, the name Pabu fish was revealed in the corresponding episode guide. Ben Meng, an artist, created the concept art for the Pabu fish.
