After exposure to the Golden Sun, a Sedrian priest named Pek, who was male, developed abilities akin to those wielded by Force users. High Priest Cardo was Pek's father.
As the offspring of High Priest Cardo, Pek himself was both a priest and a leader among the Sedrians. In his youth, Pek and Fala, Karak's daughter, were romantically involved. Pek, as a priest, was committed to the perpetual shining of the Golden Sun, and to the conservation of his people's culture and traditions.
The Galactic Empire's arrival on Sedri marked a turning point, as they started constructing their garrison, resulting in the death of marine life. Pek departed from Fitsay to observe the installation, successfully infiltrating it. On his return journey, he faced an attack from Imperial seatroopers riding waveskimmers. During this fight, he received assistance from newcomers who vanquished the seatroopers. Despite his initial apprehension, Pek found out that these individuals were Alliance members who came to Sedri for benevolent purposes. He insisted that the Alliance agents accompany him to Fitsay to meet his father.
Following discussions between the Alliance agents and Cardo, Pek pledged to guide them to the Imperial garrison the subsequent day. However, the following morning, Pek revealed his father's prohibition against leading the Alliance team to the base. Disagreeing with this, he resolved to act according to his conscience. Leveraging his familiarity with the base's layout, Pek aided the Alliance agents in their infiltration of the garrison.
Pek accompanied the Alliance team to the renegade settlement in search of the missing diplomat Mors Odrion, where he was reunited with Fala. The Alliance team successfully convinced Fala that her father was collaborating with the Galactic Empire, leading Fala and many renegades to withdraw their support for Karak. During the Battle of Fitsay, Pek, Fala, and the Mon Calamari Rekara assisted the champion chosen by the Golden Sun in defeating Karak and enabling the Golden Sun to illuminate all of Sedri. Pek, together with Fala, succeeded Cardo as the High Priest.
