Phil Noto is a comic book artist, notable for creating exclusive variant covers for Books-A-Million editions of several Marvel Comics series set in the Star Wars universe, including Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and Kanan.
He has also created cover artwork for Del Rey's Celebration sampler, Scholastic's Princess Leia: Royal Rebel, the initial issues of Marvel's Shattered Empire limited series, the Vader Down crossover event, and the The Force Awakens comic adaptation. Additionally, he supplied both cover and interior illustrations for Disney–Lucasfilm Press' young adult novels, specifically The Weapon of a Jedi, Moving Target, Smuggler's Run, and Before the Awakening.
It was announced on July 10, 2015 that Noto would be the artist providing pencils for the Chewbacca miniseries written by Gerry Duggan.
On January 14, 2016, the announcement came that Noto would be the penciler for Star Wars: Poe Dameron, which was scheduled for an April launch.
