Philinda was a Human female who existed in the final years of the Galactic Republic era.
Around 31 BBY, Philinda accompanied a group of sightseers touring the droid manufacturing complexes on the moon of Uffel, which was located in the Cularin system. While on this tour, Philinda, along with other tourists including the Humans Nia Reston and San Herrera, the Rodian named Nikolo, and the Sullustan named Tret, were convinced by the droid LN-73 to assist him in acts of sabotage against the production facilities. LN-73 achieved this by deceiving them, asserting that HG-211, who was the head of security for Uffel, had become corrupt. Subsequently, Philinda and her fellow recruits launched an assault on the Heroes of Cularin, who LN-73 falsely accused of sabotaging the droid factories.
In the aftermath of this event, San Herrera became romantically interested in Philinda, frequently calling her "the hot one." He often spoke to his friend Nia Reston about her, repeatedly suggesting that they both contact Philinda to inquire about potential job opportunities. Reston later disclosed Herrera's affections for Philinda to Yara Grugara, a reporter, during an interview for Eye on Cularin. When Grugara asked about it, Herrera declared that he and Philinda were romantically involved, a statement that Reston refuted.
Later, Philinda departed from the Cularin system to visit her parents on the planet of Coruscant. During her time away, the conflict within the Cularin system between the Thaereian military and the Cularin Militia intensified, making it impossible for her to return to the system.
Grugara later conducted another interview with Reston and Herrera regarding their newly released paper, Droid Rights, and inquired about the status of Herrera's relationship with Philinda. Herrera informed the reporter about her leaving the Cularin system and reaffirmed his claim that he and Philinda were in a relationship, a claim that Reston once again denied.
