Project Hidden Eye
Conducted by the Special Operations Division of the Imperial Security Bureau sometime in the period separating the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Hoth, this operation sought to develop sleeper operatives through the use of cybernetics. These operatives were intended to be dispersed across the galaxy, integrating into various cities and engaging in spying activities on citizens for the Security Bureau. Given that the project's implementation was planned for the desert planet Er'Kit, the Empire contracted the mercenaries known as the Malachor Company to forcibly displace the native people. Despite the fact that the initial group of sleeper operatives was nearing deployment, Commander Luke Skywalker of the opposing Rebel Alliance uncovered the Imperial presence on Er'Kit and, assisted by a Rebel agent, brought Project Hidden Eye to a halt.
