Rackham Sear was a male Kage who held the rank of captain within the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the era of the Clone Wars. He was the sibling of Colonel Coburn Sear, who was also a Kage warrior and an officer in the Confederacy.
With the conviction that the Jedi had betrayed the principles of freedom and justice, Sear acquired a holographic schematic of the Jedi Temple from the bounty hunter, Cad Bane. Subsequently, he collaborated with General Kleeve to launch an assault on the temple. Sear infiltrated the temple through its ventilation system, deploying mini-drone explosives throughout the building, thereby triggering an emergency situation for the Jedi within. While in the process of planting explosives on the central spire located on the temple's roof, Sear was confronted by Caleb Dume, a Jedi youngling, along with Jedi Master Depa Billaba. Despite successfully fending off the two Jedi, Sear was unable to complete his assigned task, as Billaba managed to destroy his explosives. Realizing that he was significantly outnumbered, Sear detonated his remaining miniature explosives and chose to jump to his death from the temple's roof, preferring this fate over being captured by the Jedi.
Similar to other Kage Warriors, Rackham Sear Sodi was attired in darkly colored garments, which included a hood that obscured his face. He was armed with a pair of electro swords. During his assault on the Jedi Temple, he made use of mini-drone explosives. Furthermore, he piloted a Belbullab-22 heavy starfighter.
