Rah Barocci was a Jedi Knight belonging to the Jedi Order, a human who lived during the High Republic Era. During the Great Hyperspace Disaster, he played a role in the attempt to rescue the Hetzal system from hazardous hyperspace fragments. On the Rooted Moon orbiting Hetzal Prime, Barocci found himself at a tower farm, where he aided a family whose daughter experienced a seizure because of the stress related to the system's evacuation. Following this, he was summoned to contribute to a large-scale operation led by Jedi Master Avar Kriss. The goal was to divert a tank filled with liquid tibanna away from a trajectory that would cause it to crash into one of the Hetzal system's three suns, specifically an R-class star, as a collision would exterminate all life within the system. Despite successfully alleviating the daughter's medical emergency, Barocci, in a state of exhaustion during the operation, tragically fell from the twenty-story tower farm and died.
