Raven Squad was a celebrated infantry unit within the reconstituted Sith Empire's military, considered part of its elite Special Forces. During the Invasion of Ossus, this highly regarded squad was stationed on Ossus and operated from Strike Base XR-484, under the leadership of its commander, Major Anri.
Initially, Darth Malora held command of the invasion force. However, her alchemy experiments involving the Geonosians significantly endangered Imperial personnel. Consequently, Malora became unpopular with Raven Squad; Major Anri, the commander, held her in particularly low regard.
Raven Squad members habitually called the base "the Nest," a designation that Darth Malora intentionally avoided using throughout the Invasion of Ossus.
Representing the highest authority of the Sith Empire, Darth Malgus was deployed to Ossus and assumed overall command of the invasion. Raven Squad revered the Dark Lord as a celebrated war figure and assisted in the assault on the Great Jedi Library.
