Reginald Danfillo

Reginald Danfillo, a distinguished senior terrain trekker with the silver leaf, fullbloom cluster designation, served within the ranks of the esteemed League of XenoExplorers. During the Typhojem Excavation conducted on the planet Pashvi, Danfillo unearthed several artifacts, including a tapestry fragment originating from the Neo-Middle Secundus, fragments of Quesoth pottery, and the book that would later gain notoriety as the Smuggler's Guide. To Danfillo's dismay, the book proved to be of recent origin, leading to its subsequent sale to the Besalisk proprietor, Dexter Jettster.

Biography

Reginald Danfillo discovered the corpse of Tryphon Leo.

As a senior terrain trekker with the silver leaf, fullbloom cluster distinction, Reginald Danfillo was a valued member of the League of XenoExplorers during the era of the Galactic Empire. He participated in the Typhojem Excavation on the world of Pashvi, where he successfully recovered a tapestry piece from the Neo-Middle Secundus period as well as Quesoth pottery shards. At the excavation locale, Danfillo also stumbled upon the remains of the alien smuggler known as Tryphon Leo, who had been attempting to locate a hidden treasure stash belonging to the pirate Queen Maz Kanata within the Shrove of the Left-Handed God Typhojem.

Leo met his demise when a sizable stone block detached from the ceiling, crushing him approximately seventy meters along the Grand Causeway in front of a Typhojem Thrall. Near the smuggler's body, Danfillo found the book that would later be known as the Smuggler's Guide, but he was disappointed to find that it was a recently made item. Subsequently, Danfillo composed a report summarizing the book's discovery, complete with an image of the recovery location. In his assessment, the trekker suggested that the book could likely be sold to a spacer, and he left the report inside the book. The book was then placed in a box of reading material elsewhere on Pashvi, where the Besalisk Dexter Jettster discovered it, ultimately purchasing it for the sum of fifty credits.

Personality and traits

Reginald Danfillo expressed considerable disappointment upon realizing the Smuggler's Guide's contemporary nature, remarking that it seemed like something "spacer trash" would buy. In his recovery report, the trekker mistakenly identified Tryphon Leo as human based on an analysis of his forearm and hand, despite the smuggler's distinctly bright blue skin.

Behind the scenes

Reginald Danfillo's existence was initially brought to light in Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, a reference work authored by Daniel Wallace and published in 2018.
