Rescue of an excursion liner

The Unknown Regions were the location of a rescue operation involving a Chiss Ascendancy excursion liner. This liner, property of the Ascendancy's Boadil family, found itself trapped within the Gravity well of a planet — specifically, a triple-ringed gas giant. The Chiss patrol ship Boco and the patrol cruiser Parala successfully rescued the liner. Senior Commander Mitth'raw'nuru, whose core name was "Thrawn," commanded the Boco, while Senior Captain Irizi'ar'alani ("Ziara") commanded the Parala. Despite saving the 8,000 passengers aboard, Thrawn made a controversial decision: he intentionally destroyed the vessel's wings to reduce its weight and then utilized the tractor beams of the two patrol cruisers to extract the liner from the gas giant's gravitational pull. Consequently, Thrawn faced criticism for the damage inflicted on the ship, leading to his removal from command of the Boco.
