Rhee was a female individual living during the time of the Imperial Era. Around the time of 2 BBY, she and her female significant other Eron became the aunts of the child Laina when she was born to the civilians Ryland and Fiona. In 1 BBY, after Ryland—who was then a member of the Rebel Alliance—expressed his desire for Laina to be raised in a secure environment, Rhee and Eron took Laina into their care, thus becoming her mothers.
During the Imperial Era, Rhee, a woman, was associated with the Rebel Alliance. She and her partner, the woman Eron, became aunts to the child Laina when she was born to the civilians Ryland and Fiona at approximately 2 BBY. In that year, after the Imperial officer Duggan killed Fiona, Rhee and Eron facilitated the escape of Laina and Ryland from a mining colony located on a moon in the Outer Rim. Subsequently, the couple introduced Ryland to the Rebel Alliance, which he then joined.
While stationed at an Alliance military base on the moon Yavin 4 in 1 BBY, Ryland requested that Eron and Rhee assume the responsibility of caring for Laina, hoping she would grow up in a safer place. Shortly after, Laina boarded the transport Echo Delta One to depart Yavin, expecting to meet Rhee and Eron at her new home. However, within a matter of days, the Galactic Empire's Death Star battle station annihilated Alderaan.
During the Galactic Civil War, Rhee chose to support the Rebel Alliance and played a role in introducing Ryland to the organization. She had a deep affection for her niece, Laina, and, along with her beloved partner Eron, was prepared to raise her at Ryland's request.
Rhee received mention in "Laina," a short story featured in the 2017 From a Certain Point of View anthology, penned by Wil Wheaton. Wheaton verified the romantic relationship between Rhee and Eron in a Tumblr post, thereby confirming his intention as the author to portray the aunts as a couple.
