Rikel (Imperial Army)

title: Rikel

During the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, a Human male named Rikel held the rank of sergeant within the army of the Sith. Around 3643 BBY, he was stationed at the Sith Academy on the planet Korriban. While serving there, he issued Imperial Edict 936, an order focused on eliminating scavengers operating within the Tomb of Ajunta Pall, which had become infested with K'lor'slug. Rikel dispatched a group of soldiers under his command to execute this edict, but they all met their death. Rikel possessed fair skin, brown hair, and grey eyes. While at the academy, he was seen wearing red armor and carrying a blaster pistol.

Subsequently, Rikel was approached by an individual aligned with the Empire. This person informed him that they had found his edict recorded on a datapad among the remains of his fallen troops. They had completed the mission, eliminating the looters and recovering several artifacts in the process. The sergeant expressed his gratitude to the individual and, after receiving the artifacts, rewarded them for their successful completion of the task.

Behind the scenes

Rikel's initial appearance was in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a MMORPG that BioWare launched in 2011. Within the game, he featured in the optional quest called "Imperial Edict," which was situated on the Imperial world of Korriban. This planet serves as the starting point for both the Sith Inquisitor and Sith Warrior character classes. Given that any Imperial class has the option to complete the quest, this article avoids making any assumptions about which specific character interacted with Rikel. Instead, it operates under the assumption that the quest was undertaken as part of a comprehensive, one hundred percent game completion effort.
