Roek was a ranking officer within the Galactic Empire's Starfleet during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Following the events of the Battle of Endor, Roek achieved the rank of admiral and assumed command of the Super Star Destroyer named the Aggressor.
Around the time that the Battle of Endor took place, specifically in 4 ABY, Admiral Roek was in command of the Super Star Destroyer known as the Aggressor, along with an escort fleet comprised of five Star Destroyers operating within the Inner Rim region.
Six months passed after the Battle of Endor, and Admiral Roek, along with his entire fleet, received orders to return to the Core Worlds. Their mission was to defend the Corellian system against incursions from the New Republic, previously recognized as the Rebel Alliance. Roek took over from Admiral Jaeffis, who had previously been in charge of defending the Corellian shipyards with a force of 25 Imperial-class Star Destroyers. As the New Republic planned its campaign to take over the Core Worlds, Dirk Harkness from the Black Curs provided New Republic Intelligence with a warning about Roek's impending arrival and the presence of the Aggressor within the Corellian system. Later, Admiral Roek and the Aggressor played a role in defending the Imperial forces as they withdrew from the Corellian system during the New Republic's conquest of the Core Worlds.
Eventually, the Aggressor came under the control of Grand Admiral Josef Grunger. In 5 ABY, the Corellian system became a key point of contention in the power struggles within the Empire's remaining forces. While Grand Admiral Grunger was strengthening his forces to make a move to capture the Imperial capital on Coruscant, another Grand Admiral, Danetta Pitta, formed an alliance with the Corellian Diktat Daclif Gallamby and seized control of the Corellian sector, utilizing a massive Torpedo Sphere as his flagship. The Battle of Tralus that followed resulted in the destruction of both fleets, including the Aggressor.
