After the widely believed death of Sheev Palpatine, the Galactic Emperor, during the Battle of Endor which occurred in 4 ABY, Rolas proclaimed their ascension to the position of Emperor. This action was mirrored by other Imperial figures, including Grand Moff Plorest and Grand General Levinous. Ultimately, Rolas was unsuccessful in securing allegiance and was swiftly overthrown and taken into custody by the troops they were leading.
