Rootleaf


Rootleaf was a culinary staple, a vegetable characterized by its pale green cluster of leaves. It found its way into numerous recipes, such as rootleaf stew and Roasted Rootleaf. During 3 ABY, the banished Jedi master Yoda cooked up a rootleaf stew inside his humble hut located on the planet of Dagobah, sharing the meal with the human Jedi-in-training Luke Skywalker. Later, in 34 ABY, the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs featured a strongly flavored rootleaf stew recipe in his initial cookbook, The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, and a Roasted Rootleaf recipe in his subsequent cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook.
