Rystan's habitable band was a zone of land found on the frigid world Rystan, capable of sustaining life. Despite not being as unwelcoming as other regions of the world, this habitable zone still suffered from extreme cold and powerful winds. Following the Battle of Kur, Marchion Ro, also known as the Eye of the Nihil, landed in the habitable band of Rystan accompanied by a navigator, the Force-attuned Talortai named Udi Dis. These two Nihil pirates encountered Kufa, who was Ro's relative, to coordinate their journey across the Golamaran ice flats.
