These robust beasts possessed dense, woolly coats, enabling them to navigate the severe conditions of the frigid planet, and they were employed as pack animals. The Talortai Udi Dis held a low opinion of slarga, picturing them as a grotesque outcome of a bio-splicer's attempts at hybridization between a bantha and a blurrg. His introduction to these animals occurred during a journey to Rystan alongside Marchion Ro, the chief of the Nihil group. Upon arrival, Ro's relative, Kufa, greeted them and provided the buccaneers with slarga as transportation to a location known as the Shrine.
