RZ-0031

id: rz-0031 title: RZ-0031

During the Telosian Restoration Project, a Restoration Zone designated RZ-0031 was established on the planet Telos IV. To shield the grasslands and beaches within RZ-0031 from the effects of the corrosive atmosphere, enormous generators were used to project protective force-fields. Initially, the Ithorians were in charge of its management, but in 3951 BBY, the Telosian Council transferred control to the Czerka Corporation to further the ecosystem's recovery.

Within the zone, Bao-Dur, a Zabrak engineer, carried out several acts of sabotage against Czerka, ultimately leading to his capture by their mercenary thugs. He was imprisoned within a forcefield-protected cell inside a former Telosian military base that Czerka had repurposed as an outpost. However, HK-50 droids infiltrated the facility, which triggered the activation of dormant war droids and defensive turrets, resulting in the massacre of the Czerka guards.

Amidst the chaos, the Zabrak managed to break free. He used his repulsor fist to disable the force field, and then slipped away as the guards engaged the droids. He successfully escaped as the Telosian military droids eliminated the Czerka forces. Subsequently, Czerka dispatched two salvage teams to investigate the base, but both were brutally wiped out, leaving only a single Twi'lek survivor.

These troubling incidents prompted Czerka to deploy over twenty mercenaries, accompanied by sentry droids, warbots, swoop bikes, and landspeeders, into the Restoration Zone. Upon learning that the Jedi Exile and her companions were en route to RZ-0031, the corporation increased its security presence. An air defense tower targeted and destroyed the Telosian orbital shuttle carrying the Jedi and her crew. Bao-Dur, who had recently escaped, rescued them from the wreckage. Together, Bao-Dur and the Jedi Exile forged forward toward the base, with the goal of securing a second Telosian orbital shuttle that was stationed there. As she traversed the grasslands, she defeated numerous attacking mercenaries.

Upon reaching the abandoned base, the Jedi Exile encountered significant resistance, including more than ten mercenaries, some of whom were equipped with powerful personnel deflector shields, as well as automated turret defenses. The Jedi Exile defeated them in self-defense and proceeded to enter the military base. The reactivated droid guards were quickly deactivated once more, and the Jedi Exile escaped the base just as two HK-50 assassin droids entered the hangar bay she had recently vacated.
