In the era of the High Republic Era, [Ty Yorrick](/article/ty_yorrick], a one-time Jedi now turned mercenary, accepted a commission to rescue the son of a marsh-lord from a competing clan, receiving novian ore as payment for her services. Following the safe return of the son, Yorrick planned to depart Safrifa; however, she was contacted by a pair of Safrifan farmers seeking her assistance with a being responsible for killing children and destroying their cultivated lands.
