Sakavi Tar was a frigid planet inhabited by the Sakavian species. The Sakavians sustained themselves by hunting fish and other aquatic creatures in the expansive underwater ecosystems located beneath the planet's icy, barren landscapes. Following the devastating Great Fish Famine, the Besalisk named Wan'yek Whett enlisted the Sakavian Skoova Stev to be a part of his crew on the vessel known as the Grapnel. However, Stev eventually came back to discover that his entire village had died as a consequence of Whett's excessive fishing practices in the area.
