San'sii, known as "the Kursk," was a male Human character who rose to prominence as the head of the Force-wielding Blackguard organization. This occurred on the planet of Mustafar during the era of the Galactic Civil War. A notable deviation from established Blackguard practices during his leadership was the recruitment of numerous individuals lacking Force sensitivity. San'sii, along with a significant portion of the Blackguard, met his end at the hands of spacers during the Blackguard Purge.
San'sii, a Force-sensitive Human male, became affiliated with the Force-based organization, the Blackguard, either before or during the Galactic Civil War. He ascended to the leadership role within the group, a position referred to as the Kursk, establishing himself as one of their most formidable members. While in command, he believed the cult's size was insufficient and implemented a novel regulation permitting non-Force-sensitive individuals to enlist, aiming to augment their numbers. This action contradicted the established traditions that dated back to the group's formation following the Seventh Battle of Ruusan by the Dark Jedi Vulta Daanat. These new recruits quickly swelled the Blackguard's ranks, becoming the most conspicuous element of the faction, leading many observers to perceive them as a mere paramilitary force rather than a Force-wielding cult.
In the year 1 ABY, a Sullustan archaeologist by the name of Mi Fon Lu expressed his desire to conduct research within the Southern Jedi Ruins, the Blackguard's base of operations. However, concerned for his safety amidst the Blackguard's presence, he contracted spacers to eliminate them from the ruins. San'sii, along with the remaining Blackguard members within the ruins, was killed during the event that came to be known as the Blackguard Purge.
San'sii wielded a red-bladed lightsaber in combat, a common practice among Blackguard members. However, in place of the standard Blackguard masked attire, San'sii donned the Cloak of the Kursk, a distinctive robe reserved exclusively for the leader of the Blackguard. Following his demise, the cloak was seized by the spacers responsible for his death.
San'sii made his initial appearance as an adversary in the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars Galaxies as part of the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion, which was launched in 2005. Star Wars Galaxies ceased operations on December 15, 2011. Within the game, he was presented as a high-level enemy that players were required to defeat as part of the "An Archaeologists Problem" quest. He later was featured on a card in the Agents of Deception expansion for the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game released in 2009. San'sii was also referenced as the most recent leader of the Blackguard in the Jedi Academy Training Manual, a supplement for the Wizards of the Coast Saga Edition Roleplaying game. This manual also confirmed that he was the one who instituted the policy of enlisting non-Force-sensitive individuals into the Blackguard.
