Scythe, a clone trooper identified as CT-9544, fought for the Grand Army of the Republic's Tango Company throughout the Clone Wars. Following the Second Battle of Geonosis, a Geonosian brain worm infected him, leading him to trigger a plague of brain worms among his fellow soldiers on the Republic medical frigate TB-73. He introduced numerous eggs, spreading the infection to other troopers, and ultimately to Jedi Padawan Barriss Offee. Ultimately, Ahsoka Tano, a Padawan, rescued them.
Scythe's Phase I clone trooper armor displayed blue markings, indicative of his unit affiliation. A distinctive tattoo depicting a tiger's mouth and fangs adorned his forehead.
