Before the Hosnian Cataclysm occurred, the Darius G-class freighter carrying some kowakian monkey-lizards as well as a kowakian ape-lizard was attacked by Kragan Gorr's Warbird gang. Poe Dameron and Kazuda Xiono, who were pilots for the Resistance, along with their BB-series astromech droids BB-8 and CB-23, investigated this event and were successful in saving the pirate Synara San.
