Seline

Seline, a desolate and frigid world, was a remote outpost planet located in the Dalonbian sector within the Tingel Arm of the galaxy. It was a harsh, rocky, and barren place that housed a Jedi starport.

History

During the Galactic War that pitted the Republic against the reconstituted Sith Empire, the planet became the site of several discovered ancient Gree ruins. Around this time, Republic and Imperial forces clashed on the planet, vying for control of a pair of hypergates that had been abandoned by the Gree.

In 29 BBY, following an attack orchestrated by Republic political leader and security force commander Wilhuff Tarkin on Zonama Sekot, Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker escaped aboard the Jabitha. They navigated the damaged vessel to Seline, deeming it the nearest viable "emergency" landing spot, "thousands of parsecs" closer to Coruscant than any other alternative. At the starport's empty hangar, they were greeted by Jedi High Council member Mace Windu and Jedi Master Thracia Cho Leem, who offered counsel to the young Skywalker after his ordeal and then escorted both him and his Master back to the capital. Kenobi's knowledge of Seline stemmed from an earlier perilous encounter alongside his own Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn. This secluded station, known only to the Jedi, stood as one of the Galactic Republic's closest worlds to the original location of Zonama Sekot in the Gardaji sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Seline ultimately became the final resting place for the Sekotan organic ship, the Jabitha.

During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Seline suffered an attack from the extra-galactic invaders.
