Selonia existed as a planet within the Corellian sector, situated in the Core Worlds region of the galaxy. It was one of the five planets that orbited the sun called Corell, which was part of the Corellia system. On one occasion, during an endeavor to save the Wookiee known as Kirroo, Han Solo made the statement to a droid that he, Qi'ra, and Tsuulo were scientists hailing from Selonia and employed by the Sienar Systems Advanced Projects Laboratory. The droid then responded that it was unaware of Sienar's involvement on Selonia, leading Solo to retort that their interests spanned across every location.
Within the Corellian sector of the galaxy's [Core Worlds](/article/core_worlds], Selonia was a planet. It was in orbit around Corell, the sun within the Corellia system.
Han, along with Qi'ra and Tsuulo, received provisions from the Engineer that enabled them to pose as scientists from the Sienar Systems Advanced Projects Laboratory while attempting to rescue Kirroo, a Wookiee crew member of the Engineer's ship, from the CorSec headquarters where he was confined in a holding cell. Upon arriving at the headquarters, they approached a help desk, where Han informed a droid that he and his companions had just arrived on a shuttle from Selonia and were late for an Imperial meeting, before requesting directions to the correct floor. When the droid expressed ignorance of Sienar APL's activities on Selonia, Han dismissed it, asserting that the Advanced Projects Laboratory had interests everywhere and that he simply followed orders. This deception proved successful, allowing the trio to successfully liberate Kirroo.
The initial mention of Selonia in Star Wars canon occurred in the young-adult novel Most Wanted (2018), authored by Rae Carson. Its first visual representation was in the 2018 replica journal book Solo: A Star Wars Story: Tales from Vandor by Jason Fry on the Corellian Engineering Corporation logo, which featured all of the Corellian system's planets. In Star Wars Legends, the first mention of Selonia was in the 1995 novel Ambush at Corellia, the first book of Star Wars: The Corellian Trilogy, by Roger MacBride Allen.
