Sev'rance Tann served Count Dooku as a Dark Acolyte, and was part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' military. In 22 BBY, during the opening battle of the Clone Wars that engulfed the galaxy, Tann was among the Dark Acolytes present on Geonosis, a Separatist [capital](/article/capital] planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. On Geonosis, the Galactic Republic's newly formed Grand Army of clone troopers engaged in combat against the powerful Separatist Droid Army.
As the clones gained ground, pushing back the Separatist forces and turning the tide of the battle against the Confederacy, Dooku made the decision to escape. He used a Flitknot Speeder Bike to reach a secret hangar where his personal solar sailer was located. Tann, along with another Dark Acolyte, provided cover for Count Dooku's retreat, supported by two Geonosian starfighters acting as escorts. Although Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Yoda discovered and attacked Dooku's hangar, he was ultimately able to flee Geonosis aboard his solar sailer.
The current Star Wars canon mentions Sev'rance Tann in the English version of the encyclopedia "Prologue to the Clone Wars and the First Battle of Geonosis." This encyclopedia was published in 2023 as part of the Fanhome Star Wars Encyclopedia series.
Originally appearing in the Star Wars Legends continuity, Sev'rance Tann was first introduced in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns, an expansion released in 2002 for the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. In that game, Tann was portrayed as a Force-sensitive Chiss female character who joined Count Dooku's Confederacy of Independent Systems as a Dark Acolyte before being killed by Jedi Master Echuu Shen-Jon one month into the Clone Wars.
