Shalish was a female human who belonged to the Path of the Open Hand cult, specifically its subgroup, the Path of the Closed Fist. In the year 382 BBY, she received orders to accompany a group of Path members, under the leadership of prospector Radicaz Dobbs, on an expedition to the legendary Planet X. Their objective was to acquire eggs belonging to the Nameless species and transport them back to the Path compound located on the planet Dalna, with the intention of using them as a weapon against the Jedi. Shalish embarked on this voyage aboard the vessel known as the Bonecrusher, accompanied by Wole, Tareen, Geth, and Galamal, the ship's owner.
In the end, Shalish, along with her Path companions Wole and Geth, journeyed on a vessel carrying a large quantity of the eggs, in order to transport them. Following a ship-to-ship battle between their vessel and the Galactic Republic Pathfinder ship named Witherbloom, both ships were forced to crash-land on a planet characterized by its rocky terrain. The crash resulted in the rupture of one of the Nameless eggs, releasing the creature within. Shalish, along with the other Path members, found themselves in a situation where they had to cooperate with the Jedi and Pathfinders to ensure their survival, despite Shalish's open expression of her contempt for them. Ultimately, after she chose to abandon assisting one of the Pathfinders with a strategy to subdue the creature, taking a hesitant Wole with her, both of them met their demise at the hands of the creature.
