Geth was a human belonging to the Path of the Open Hand cult, specifically within its Path of the Closed Fist subgroup. He shared a romantic relationship with Shea Ganandra, a member of the Children of the Open Hand, which resulted in her becoming pregnant with their child. However, Geth remained unaware of this pregnancy. In the year 382 BBY, he journeyed aboard a starship alongside fellow Path members, transporting numerous eggs belonging to the Nameless species. Their vessel became engaged in a battle with the Galactic Republic Pathfinder ship named Witherbloom, which led to both ships crash-landing on a desolate, rocky planet. The impact caused one of the Nameless eggs to rupture, unleashing the creature within.
While exploring the wreckage with Shalish and Wole, Geth encountered Sula Badani, a Jedi and member of the Witherbloom's Pathfinder team. The trio opened fire on the Jedi, but Badani managed to disarm them. As they began to explain their mission, the influence of the nearby Nameless overwhelmed Badani, allowing Geth and his companions to escape. Shalish expressed a desire to have killed the Jedi, but Geth dismissed it, stating that the Nameless would kill them all if it caught them. They then ran into Pako, a member of the Witherbloom team, and the team's droid EX-5A, and started shooting at them. Pako returned fire, hitting Geth in the shoulder, causing Shalish to exclaim his name.
After running from the creature, Geth and his fellow Path members stumbled upon Coron Solstus and Rok Buran as they went back into the wreckage. Buran convinced the Path members to agree to a truce so that Geth could receive treatment for his blaster wound. Geth was treated by Ambar as the group joined the other survivors of the crash.
When the creature entered the wreckage, Master Xinith Tarl informed Ambar that they needed to find a safer location. The medic took hold of Geth and assisted him in walking. The survivors gathered in a hallway, where Geth learned that the creature had killed the remaining Path members. He expected to meet the same fate, but Buran insisted that they would all survive. During their escape, Geth questioned Buran about why they were helping him, to which the Jedi Master replied that it was the right thing to do.
