Shuttle Shock represents the third installment within the second season of the animated micro-series titled Star Wars Forces of Destiny. Its initial release occurred on March 19, 2018.
Finn, Rose Tico, together with BB-8, are en route to the planet of Cantonica using their Resistance transport pod. BB-8 is assisting in the navigation of the starship. Finn informs Rose that they are nearing their destination, restating that their plan involves landing in Canto Bight, acquiring the Master Codebreaker, and then returning to the Resistance fleet. Rose inquires if that encompasses the entirety of their objective, just as their transport pod is approached by a giant flying jellyfish.
The flying jellyfish latches onto the transport pod, causing a short circuit in the ship's systems. BB-8 experiences an electrical shock and collides with the ship's interior. Rose attends to the damaged droid and instructs Finn to assume control. Finn expresses his lack of piloting skills, but Rose points out that he has no alternative. As the transport pod navigates through Cantonica's cloud cover, Finn observes a group of the giant flying jellyfish. Finn pilots the ship through the group while Rose repairs BB-8.
Finn starts to panic as the ship nears a flying jellyfish. At that precise moment, Rose completes the repairs on BB-8, who swiftly resumes his duties. The droid takes command of the ship, guiding it above the jellyfish group. Rose and Finn express their joy. Finn expresses his gratitude and inquires about BB-8's well-being. The droid activates his lighter to signal that he is functioning properly. Rose expresses her thanks to BB-8, while Finn reminds them about their mission to locate the codebreaker.
