During the early Imperial Era, Latero pilot Greez Dritus and former Jedi Knight Cere Junda found themselves in a brawl with smugglers at the Slag Pit, resulting in their ejection from the premises. This shared experience led to a bond between them, and they shared a drink of lum in a nearby alleyway.
In 14 BBY, Junda and Greez, along with Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis, established a crew on the Stinger Mantis luxury yacht. Dritus reminisced about the Slag Pit incident, considering it the start of his connection with Junda. Junda, also recalling the event, described it as one of the most enjoyable evenings she had experienced in recent years.
In 3 ABY, gambler Zana Gatta made a stop at the Slag Pit just a few days prior to her visit to the casino cruiser Morenia.
The Slag Pit received a canonically mention in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, specifically during a conversation that could occur while traveling between planets. Its origins can be traced back to the 1994 Legends comic book series Dark Empire II.
