The Spellhaus attack, referred to as the Spellhaus Operation within the Imperial Archives, involved an assault on the Spellhaus Imperial power station. This raid was initiated by the insurgent leader Anto Kreegyr, previously associated with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, who commanded a group of thirty to fifty insurgents from his rebel cell in 5 BBY. Luthen Rael sought to enlist the Partisans and requested aerial assistance, however Saw Gerrera, the Partisan leader, declined to endanger his soldiers for the sake of another faction. By the time Gerrera reconsidered, the Imperial Security Bureau had become aware of the impending attack, leading Rael and Gerrera to decide to sacrifice Kreegyr and his unit. Their rationale was that this sacrifice would create an opportunity for the broader rebellion and safeguard Rael's ISB informant, Lonni Jung. During a subsequent skirmish above Segra Milo, Rael narrowly avoided capture but managed to evade the Imperials. Ultimately, the raid resulted in a devastating defeat for Kreegyr's contingent, which was completely annihilated.
