Stance, identified solely as CT-1157 before the skirmish on Kardoa, was a clone trooper fighting for the Galactic Republic's Grand Army under the command of Jedi General Depa Billaba. Being new to the battlefront at the time of the Kardoa engagement, his superiors considered him "green". He formed a bond with the young Padawan Caleb Dume; when Dume was injured and lost consciousness during a battle, CT-1157 protected him from the Separatist droids. Subsequently, he received recognition for his bravery and was given the name Stance. Shortly thereafter, Stance and his battalion were deployed to Mygeeto, but during the battle there, he met his end at the hands of Colonel Coburn Sear.
Following his demise, Dume engaged Sear in combat. As their duel neared its conclusion, Sear ignited himself in an attempt to eliminate both himself and Dume, but Dume prevailed, killing the Kage Warrior. A funeral was subsequently conducted in Stance's honor.
