Star Wars 100: First Strike represents the landmark one-hundredth installment of the Marvel Star Wars comic book series.
The Alliance HQ situated on Endor is under siege by the Nagai! Due to a computer malfunction, the Alliance's top pilots, Han and Luke, are unable to fly, leaving Princess Leia to confront the primary thrust of the assault alone! This double-sized anniversary special, titled "First Strike," is brought to you by writer Jo Duffy and artist Cynthia Martin.
On the forest moon of Endor, Admiral Ackbar is in charge of a pilot training program for several members of the new Alliance of Free Planets. Han Solo deviates from the program's rules to maximize effectiveness. Despite being the most seasoned pilot present, his test scores consistently prevent him from flying. He subsequently expresses his dissatisfaction to Lando Calrissian, Luke Skywalker, and his childhood friend from Corellia, Bey.
Later on, Mon Mothma receives information indicating that a squadron of Nagai vessels has been spotted flying over Endor. Recognizing that their location has been compromised, they make preparations to evacuate Endor in order to shield the Ewok population from their conflict with the Nagai.
Lando spearheads the defense operation against the Nagai ships, while Luke and Han remain grounded on Endor. Eager to find something to do, they decide to investigate some unusual activity that was reported to them by an Ewok named Tippet. Luke and Han discover a contingent of Nagai soldiers on the moon. The ships hovering above Endor are merely a diversion, intended to allow the ground team to seize the base while the Alliance's best pilots are occupied elsewhere. The Nagai detect Luke and Han observing them and dispatch their robot sentries to intercept them. Luke and Han become separated, and following the skirmish, Luke uses his speeder to return and warn the Alliance.
Han begins his trek back to HQ on foot, and during this time, he encounters Bey. Bey reveals that he was the individual who informed the Nagai of the Alliance's whereabouts. Han inquires as to why Bey would betray them, and Bey discloses that he is only half-Corellian. His mother was Nagai, and he feels a stronger loyalty toward his Nagai heritage than his Corellian side. Bey is ordered to kill Han, but he finds himself unable to carry out the task. The Nagai known as Knife overhears this exchange and attempts to shoot Bey. Instinctively, Bey reacts by shooting Knife in the stomach. Knife is revealed to be Bey's half-brother.
In the skies above Endor's moon, Lando, Wedge Antilles, Fenn Shysa, and other pilots engage in combat with the Nagai ships. Lando employs one of Han's unorthodox piloting maneuvers to achieve victory.
