Star Wars 93: Catspaw marks the ninety-third installment of the Star Wars comic book series published by Marvel.
When Luke, Leia, and Han become entangled in a violent dispute between two extremist factions of feline-like beings, they find themselves in a predicament involving an abundance of fur-covered creatures! This tale, entitled "Catspaw!", is penned by Jo Duffy, with illustrations by Sal Buscema and inks by Tom Palmer.
Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo are engaged in a diplomatic endeavor on Saijo when they observe an X-wing being pursued by three Y-wings. Despite Skywalker's observation that both types of spacecraft are utilized by the Rebellion, Han opts to assist the outnumbered X-wing. Piloting the Millennium Falcon, Organa and Skywalker employ the Falcon's weaponry to eliminate the Y-wings, thereby rescuing the pilot.
Following a brief period of recuperation in a medical facility, the Rebel protagonists become acquainted with Minka, the Cantrosian pilot, and learn the circumstances surrounding the pursuit. Minka asserts that the Y-wings were agents of the Empire and that her base within the Cantros system has been subjected to relentless attacks. The Rebels resolve to investigate these allegations and accompany Minka back to Cantros 7. Upon their arrival, they express bewilderment regarding the purported Imperial presence in the system but decide to investigate the source of the attacks, venturing to the opposite side of the planet with Minka and her companion, Sami.
Upon reaching their destination on the far side of the planet, Luke, Han, and Sami are taken captive by another group of Cantrosians, while Leia and Minka manage to evade capture. The three captured Rebels are transported to the Cantrosians' base, where they discover that their captors are also affiliated with the Rebellion. However, before the Rebels can clarify the situation, they witness Durne, a member of Sami and Minka's group, instructing the Cantrosian captors to torture Han, Luke, and Sami. It appears that Durne had been manipulating both factions against each other in an attempt to orchestrate their mutual destruction. Fortunately for the three imprisoned Rebels, Leia and Minka arrive to intervene, liberating the group before they can be subjected to torture. During a brief exchange of gunfire, Luke manages to rescue Niru, the leader of the opposing group of Cantrosians. This act confirms to the other group that they are not allied with the Empire, and they take Durne into custody. Ultimately, the two factions reconcile, thanks to the intervention of Luke, Leia, and Han.
