With Lannik insurgents and Ffib priests poised to annihilate a significant portion of the Jedi Council, the Jedi are compelled to contemplate a crucial question: can peace truly be achieved, or has deception been the underlying strategy from the beginning? The resolution to this dilemma is concealed within the rugged terrains and methane-rich environments of Malastare, where danger also lurks, promising a transformative experience for at least one member of the team!
As a segment of the Jedi diplomatic team seemingly succumb to death, the remaining members swiftly initiate a rescue operation. Now cognizant of the Red Iaro's duplicity, the Jedi make a timely return to the palace. Corroborating their suspicions, the Lannik prince is discovered as a captive, with his abductors having unleashed a pair of savage akk dogs upon him. While the Jedi neutralize the canines, the terrorist leader attempts an escape utilizing a jetpack, only to be drawn into the engine of one of the podracers. Mace Windu, deeply disturbed by the exploitation of the akks, which originate from his homeworld of Haruun Kal, embarks on a mission to apprehend the smugglers responsible.
