T-6 1974
T-6 1974, alternatively known as T-6 One-Nine-Seven-Four, was a T-6 shuttle utilized by Ahsoka Tano following the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War. She used it to journey to the planet of Lothal to retrieve Sabine Wren and commence their search operation for Ezra Bridger.
Characteristics
This agile starship, produced by the Verpine hives belonging to Slayn & Korpil, possessed a unique rotating engine block along with a rotating cockpit. This design afforded the shuttle adaptability for landing on various planetary surfaces. Although a single pilot was sufficient to control the shuttle, Tano had the droid Huyang accompanying her as both a navigator and copilot. Huyang dedicated a section of the T-6's spacious interior to serve as his personal workshop. Within, he kept his extensive collection of lightsaber components, amassed over decades spent teaching and overseeing lightsaber construction. Tano allocated another area of the shuttle for lightsaber training, equipping it with practice Bokken sabers and protective helmets.
History
During the Clone Wars, the presence of T-6 shuttles signaled the imminent arrival of assistance. Years later, the T-6's easily recognizable form continued to represent hope. Sometime after the Battle of Jakku, and after reconnecting with the lightsaber expert Huyang, Tano employed this vessel to travel to the planet of Lothal in order to collect Sabine Wren and embark on their search for Ezra Bridger. Huyang and Tano successfully landed the shuttle directly within the mouth of a Purrgil. Once situated inside the creature's mouth, the Purrgil initiated a jump to hyperspace, following an age-old migration pattern from one galaxy to another, ultimately leading them to the planet Peridea. While on Peridea, the T-6 shuttle was involved in several engagements, highlighting the durability that had previously served it well during the Clone Wars.
